FAQ
The default output is Gurmukhi script (ਪੰਜਾਬੀ), which is the standard script for Punjabi in India. Shahmukhi (Urdu-script Punjabi used in Pakistan) is not currently supported as a separate mode.
Music content is more challenging due to background instrumentals and stylized pronunciation. Clear vocal tracks transcribe well; heavily produced tracks with loud background music may need more editing.
Punjabi speakers in Canada, UK, and US often mix heavily with English. The model handles this mixing, though very English-dominant speech may work better in Indian English mode.
Punjabi is a tonal language, and tones affect meaning. The model uses linguistic context to select the correct Gurmukhi character even when tonal cues are ambiguous.
Majhi (the prestige dialect around Amritsar/Lahore) is best supported. Malwai and Doabi features are handled, but Potwari or Multani may need more manual correction.
