What CapsAI Handles for Marathi

Generate a timed first draft from clear Marathi speech, then review uncertain words and timing before publishing.

  • Clear speech and low background noise help produce a stronger first draft
  • Names, places, specialist terms, and mixed-language phrases should be reviewed
  • Caption timing and line breaks can be adjusted in the editor
  • Standalone MP3, WAV, and M4A upload is not available in the current workflow

Marathi review checklist

Where a Marathi transcript needs a second look

Marathi shares Devanagari with Hindi but not its spelling. These are the points to check in a Marathi transcript before it becomes captions.

ळ is not ल

Marathi keeps the retroflex ळ, and swapping it for ल changes the word: वेळ means time, वेल means a vine. Check everyday words such as शाळा (school), बाळ (baby) and केळी (bananas).

Choose Marathi, not Hindi

Because both languages use Devanagari, Marathi speech transcribed as Hindi still looks plausible at a glance while spellings and word endings drift toward Hindi. Always select Marathi in the language menu for Marathi speech.

The eyelash र

Words such as दुसऱ्या and तऱ्हा use the eyelash form of र (ऱ्). Fonts without that form show a full र above a half letter instead, so look at these words in the exported video, not only in the editor.

Full stop and digits

Modern Marathi ends sentences with a full stop (.), not the Hindi danda (।). Devanagari digits (०-९) are common in print and Western digits on social media; pick one style per video.

Dialects and mixed speech

Standard Marathi as heard in Pune and Mumbai media is the easiest case. Regional varieties such as Varhadi or Malvani, and frequent Hindi or English insertions in city speech, are where corrections cluster.
