Should I pick Hindi or Hinglish for my video?
Pick Hindi when you want Devanagari on screen, which suits speech that is mostly Hindi and viewers who read the script comfortably. Pick Hinglish when the speakers switch between Hindi and English and you want the captions in Roman letters, the way most people type on WhatsApp. Both options produce captions in the spoken language; neither translates.
Can I export the Hindi captions as an SRT file?
The export is an MP4 with the captions burned in. Separate SRT or VTT files are not available from the editor yet; the standalone converters under /tools work on subtitle files you already have.
How are English words inside Hindi speech handled?
With Hindi selected they usually appear transliterated into Devanagari, as they would in a Hindi newspaper. Check brand names and technical terms in the editor and respell them, or retype them in Roman letters, if that is what your viewers expect.
Will matras and conjuncts render correctly in the exported video?
That depends on the font you pick. A font with full Devanagari coverage draws conjuncts such as क्ष and ज्ञ and places matras correctly; a Latin-only display font cannot. Preview a line that contains both before you export, and see the Indian-language font guide for fonts that cover the script.
Is there a watermark on free Hindi exports?

Does it translate an English video into Hindi subtitles?
No. Captions are generated in the language that is spoken. An English video gets English captions; translation into Hindi is not part of the editor today.
Why Devanagari needs a second look
Hindi marks borrowed sounds with a nukta (ज़, फ़, ड़) and nasal sounds with a bindu or chandrabindu, and speech recognition sometimes drops these small marks. The word still looks roughly right, which is exactly why readers notice. The editor lets you fix a single character without touching the timing of the caption.
Conjuncts are the other trouble spot. क्ष, त्र and ज्ञ are drawn as single shapes only when the font knows how; otherwise you get the pieces side by side with a visible halant. Preview before export and switch fonts if the shapes look wrong.
Numbers, dates and prices
Hindi speakers say prices in rupees, lakhs and crores, and dates in a mix of Hindi and English month names. Pick one convention for the video: ₹5,000 or पाँच हज़ार रुपये, 15 अगस्त or 15 August, 2 लाख or 2,00,000. Mixed conventions inside one video read as carelessness, and they are the easiest thing to fix in the editor.
