Telugu Caption and Subtitle Generator

Telugu builds words by stacking suffixes, so one word can carry what English says in four. CapsAI captions Telugu speech in Telugu script and opens an editor where those long words, the English product terms mixed into them, and the names of people and places can be checked before the captions are burned into the video.

How it works

How it works

  1. Step 1

Upload the final MP4 or MOV

Finish the edit first; the captions follow the audio you upload.

  2. Step 2

    Choose Telugu

Telugu speech mixed with English words is normal in reviews and lessons. Choose Telugu anyway; there is no separate mixed option for Telugu-English, and the English terms are handled in the review.

  3. Step 3

Scan for long words and loanwords

Make sure a suffix chain was not split into two words, and that English product names read the way your audience writes them.

  4. Step 4

    Correct names and amounts

People, towns, movie titles and amounts in lakhs and crores are the usual corrections.

  5. Step 5

Pick a font with Telugu coverage and export

Telugu's rounded letters need vertical room. Preview a line in your chosen style, adjust the size and position, and export the captioned MP4.

Questions

My speech mixes Telugu and English. Which language do I select?

Select Telugu. Hinglish covers Hindi-English speech only. With Telugu selected, English words may come out in Telugu letters or need respelling; the editor is where you decide whether a term like camera stays as కెమెరా or goes back to English letters.

Can I export Telugu subtitles as SRT or VTT files?

The export is an MP4 with the captions burned in. Separate SRT or VTT files are not available from the editor yet; the standalone converters under /tools work on subtitle files you already have.

Why does one Telugu word look like it broke into two?

Telugu attaches suffixes to a stem, so a verb can be long and a speech model may split it at a syllable. Join the pieces in the editor and keep line breaks between whole words.

Do loanwords need a zero-width non-joiner?

Sometimes. In a word such as సబ్‌టైటిల్ a zero-width non-joiner stops two consonants from fusing into a conjunct. If a loanword looks wrong, retype it in the editor; the invisible character travels with the text.

Which fonts render Telugu properly?

Fonts that include the Telugu block. Display fonts designed for English do not. Test a line in the Telugu subtitle font preview and pick a style whose font covers the script; vowel signs that sit above or below the letter are the first thing to go wrong.

Is the Telugu subtitle generator free?

3 free minutes to start, then one-time minute packs. Free exports may carry a CapsAI watermark; watermark-free export is a paid benefit.

Why Telugu captions need more vertical room

Telugu letters are rounded and carry vowel signs above and below the base letter, so a caption box and line spacing designed for Latin text can clip them. Give the captions room, keep the outline thin enough that the signs stay distinct, and preview at phone size before you export.

English inside Telugu is normal

Tech, finance and education channels mix English freely: the names of apps, phones, exams and courses rarely have a Telugu spelling that everyone agrees on. Pick one way of writing each term and use it everywhere. Viewers forgive an unusual spelling; they notice three different ones.

Lakhs, crores and prices

Amounts are said as లక్ష and కోటి. Captions can show ₹2 లక్షలు or ₹2,00,000, and a channel aimed at NRI viewers may prefer 200,000. Decide once, and remember that a price in a caption is the number viewers screenshot.
