Hormozi-Style Captions

Hormozi-style captions are the look from business and self-improvement clips: very heavy capitals, two or three words on screen at a time, a thick dark outline, and one word in a bright color. CapsAI builds it from the speech in your video: upload, correct the draft, pick a style that colors the spoken word, set 2 or 3 words per frame and export an MP4 with the captions burned in. Four styles match. Pop Out (green spoken word), Neue Black (cyan) and Tommy (pink) are Pro styles you can export with any pack, from $4 (₹49 in India, €4 in the euro area); Poppins Italic (orange) is free. This page describes a caption look only: CapsAI has no affiliation with Alex Hormozi and uses no image or likeness of him.

What the captions look like

What you get

  • Four styles that color the spoken word, one of them free to export
  • Capitals come from the style, so you never retype a caption in caps
  • Highlight timing comes from the word timings in your audio, not from keyframes set by hand
  • Words per frame from 1 to 4, so you decide how fast the lines change
  • One MP4 with the captions burned in, ready for Shorts, Reels, TikTok and LinkedIn

Where it helps

  • Business and sales advice clips cut from a podcast or a talk
  • Coaching and course promos where one number or claim has to stand out
  • Talking-head Shorts and Reels recorded on a phone in one take
  • Editors who want this look on client clips without building it by hand in Premiere Pro

How it works

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Upload the final cut

MP4 or MOV, up to 10 minutes. Files up to 500 MB, or 10 GB with a pack. Choose the language spoken; captions come out in that language.

  2. Step 2

Fix the words before the look

Bold, colored captions make a typo louder. Correct names, numbers and slang. The styles set the capitals, so type normally.

  3. Step 3

Pick one of the four styles

Pop Out, Neue Black or Tommy for a Pro export, Poppins Italic for a free one. Preview the Pro styles on your own video before you buy anything.

  4. Step 4

Set words per frame to 2 or 3

The editor starts at 4. Two or three gives the short, punchy lines of this look.

  5. Step 5

    Place it and export

Set the height between the middle of the frame and near the bottom (50 to 90%), check the preview at phone size, and export one MP4.

Questions

Is this an official Alex Hormozi caption template?

No. "Hormozi-style" names a caption look that many tools label after the clips that made it common. CapsAI has no affiliation with Alex Hormozi or his team, does not claim to reproduce his editors' template, and uses no image or likeness of him.

What font do Hormozi captions use?

We found no public confirmation. As of 19 October 2026, guides most often name The Bold Font (Submagic, quso.ai), Anton (Submagic, for a newer version) and Montserrat Bold (Riverside, as a font that resembles the style). Treat all three as commonly cited and unconfirmed.

Can I make Hormozi-style captions for free?

Yes, with Poppins Italic, a free style, on the 3 free minutes a new account gets. Those exports carry a CapsAI watermark; watermark-free export comes with every paid pack. Pop Out, Neue Black and Tommy are Pro: preview them free, export them with any pack, including Starter (20 minutes from $4).

Can I choose which word gets the color?

Not in these four: the color follows the spoken word. Glint, a separate Pro style, makes one word per caption glow, but a rule picks it, not you. To stress one word, split the caption so it stands alone.

Can I change the highlight color?

Only in Pop Out, with a catch: one swatch sets the text and the highlight together, so after a new pick the spoken word still grows but loses its second color. Neue Black, Tommy and Poppins Italic keep their colors. There is no hex input and no outline editing.

Can I add emoji the way these clips do?

Yes. Every caption has a manual emoji picker on any plan, and AI emoji sync is listed for the Creator and Pro packs. In Pop Out the emoji sits under its word. It is a still glyph that scales in, not an animated sticker.

Can I move the captions to the top of the frame?

No. The web editor places captions from the middle of the frame (50% of its height) to near the bottom (90%). On vertical clips that middle band keeps them clear of the app buttons and the description.

Can I export an SRT file with this styling?

No. CapsAI exports one MP4 with the captions burned in; there is no SRT, VTT or TXT download. The styling exists only inside the video, which is why it looks the same everywhere.

How long does it take, and what are the limits?

A few minutes for a clip under a minute: upload, transcription, then the export render. 3 free minutes to start. Files up to 500 MB, or 10 GB with a pack. Videos up to 10 minutes each.

Does it work in other languages?

CapsAI captions 11 spoken languages, English, Hinglish, Hindi and eight more Indian languages, with no translation. Indian scripts have no capitals, so the colored word carries the look. CapsAI's English has been used most on Indian English; for other accents, test a clip on the 3 free minutes.

Which CapsAI style matches the look

The look has four parts: very heavy capitals, lines of two to four words, a thick dark outline or shadow, and one word in color. Kapwing's Hormozi Style Captions template, read on 19 October 2026, describes it the same way: all caps, a highlighted key word, captions in the lower middle of the frame, timed to the speech. Pop Out is the closest CapsAI preset, and new editor projects open with it.

Neue Black swaps in Helvetica Neue Black with a cyan spoken word. Tommy uses rounder Made Tommy Black capitals, a 10 px outline and a pink word that bounces. Poppins Italic slants the line and pushes the spoken word out in orange. One difference from hand-built versions: here the color moves with the voice, word by word, instead of resting on a keyword an editor chose.

Hormozi-style captions in CapCut and Premiere Pro

In any editor, four settings make the look: weight (the heaviest cut of the font), case (all capitals), outline (thick and dark, or a strong shadow) and line length (two to four words, at most two lines). Submagic's guide, read on 19 October 2026, gives a recipe for CapCut on a phone: Text, then Auto Captions, The Bold Font, a heavy shadow, and four to six words across two lines. On PC, set the same four by name; menus move between versions.

For Premiere Pro, the same guide creates captions from a transcript with at most 15 characters per line, a 2-second minimum duration and double lines, styles the track in Essential Graphics, then colors keywords one by one with the Fill color. A highlight that follows every word has to be built caption by caption. Menu names change between versions, so check yours; our guide to karaoke-style captions in CapCut, Canva and Premiere Pro covers keyframing a moving highlight.

The font question

We found no public confirmation of the exact font. The Bold Font, Anton and Montserrat Bold are the names guides repeat; treat them as look-alikes.

All three are easy to get. Anton and Montserrat are on Google Fonts, and the license files in Google's fonts repository put both under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. The Bold Font is listed on dafont.com as a free version, and its page points to a PRO version for lowercase letters. CapsAI does not take font uploads, so the font comes with the style: Pop Out uses Montserrat Black, the heaviest cut of one of the commonly cited look-alikes.
