Where should captions go on a Reel so Instagram's buttons do not cover them?
In the middle of the frame. The right edge holds the like, comment and share column, and the bottom holds your username, caption text and audio label. Preview the overlay with the Reels safe-zone tool before you export.
Is this better than Instagram's built-in captions?
They do different jobs. Instagram's caption sticker is quick but uses its own styles and stays inside the app. Burned-in captions let you correct the words, choose the look and keep the captions when the file is reposted elsewhere.
Can I download the captions as an SRT file for Instagram?
The export is an MP4 with the captions burned in. Separate SRT or VTT files are not available from the editor yet; the standalone converters under /tools work on subtitle files you already have.
Can I caption a Reel from an Instagram link?

Does it work for Hinglish Reels?
Yes. Choose Hinglish as the spoken language when the Reel mixes Hindi and English. Choose Hindi if the Reel is in Hindi throughout and you want Devanagari captions.
